Already in its fourth year, the social media and job-search platform Jobcase has more than 100 million registered users and 25 million unique active visitors each month. Members have access not only to millions of job listings but to an online community where members share their experiences and give advice. Sites like LinkedIn are not as useful or effective for blue collar and service industry workers. More than 2,000 companies solicit on Jobcase, including Amazon, Pizza Hut and FedEx. Jobcase organizes hiring events across the US, where major companies participate. They will expand to Canada and other countries in the next 2-3 years.
Jobcase
overview from their site:
“We
built our platform to be a community with lots of great tools and a stronger
together mentality. Because workers everywhere can do better when they:
----connect
and learn with others
----foster
empathy, positivity and encouragement
----get
access to opportunity
----are
treated well by employers
----have
what they need to drive their own success
----can
face the future of work with confidence
“We
also emphasize ‘living what we believe.’ This means we work with employers to
offer our members great opportunities and content. And we provide technology
solutions to nonprofit organizations that share our mission. Our goal is to
help them be more effective, and to be a partner online and ‘on the street’ in
order to actively participate in their communities.
“But
what it all comes down to is – Jobcase.com is a place where people help people.
And Jobcase Inc. is a company that develops and uses technology to serve
people. Our millions of members are a constant source of inspiration to us.
We’ve experienced amazing growth over the past few years as a result of the
talented and dedicated employees that work here every day. They truly care
about making Jobcase the best it can be.”
