An excellent way to help those who may be susceptible to romance scams is to examine the scammers playbook! Once the potential victim - who is looking for their knight in shining armor -reads the sly, devious methods used, they will realize they are being duped! Several anti-romance scam web sites have accessed the very playbook most scammers use. This one is specifically from Nigeria, but the template is used by all scammers worldwide. Below are just a few of the more insidious questions the scammer asks the potential victim. He answers the question regarding himself them waits for the woman's response. Are you willing to relocate if you find your soul mate?
For me it depends on my soul mate; If she willingly wants me relocate to Her Home, it is okay with me, but if she likes to relocate to my Home that will be fine so long as we stick together as ONE. Perhaps she might want us to Buy another Home, it fine as long as she's the happiest Woman on Earth.
What's your religion?
I am a practicing Catholic. If you are, that's great, but if you are Lutheran or Anglican, that works too! After all, I like to focus on what we have in common, not our differences. Are you a God-fearing woman? I am a God-fearing man, I do have my Christian faith to credit for my life, attitude and success; however, I don't use the name of God to attract women for my character speaks for itself. I am not the type of man who is focused entirely on himself.
What attracts you to a man?
Truthfulness and respect. I'm not after physical appearance, but I value good character. It really makes me get closer to a person inside; I do consider that more important because beauty fades with time but the person inside appreciates with time. I go for the inner beauty, it radiates, and it speaks for itself over time and for a woman like you who is family oriented is an added advantage to me.
So, what do you expect from me?
I want you to treat me right, be truthful and honest with me, because I do believe in the Gospel truth and that's what I want. A long-term relationship with someone like you... I want to feel true love and happiness with you and share everything with you based on Love, Trust and Understanding.
What 3 physical features do you get compliments on most?
My eyes, smiles, skin/complexion, and sometimes my voice too. People like it for some reason.
What do you think is the biggest mistake that men/women make in relationships?
Not trusting, understanding and trying to find time and share things with each other.
In a relationship how do you see a situation whereby the woman earns more money than the man?
A good relationship where two lovers understand each other, they're concerned for each other and they respect one another, I don’t think that there will be problem about that, to me is no problem as far as they both love their selves.
Do you like holding hands and exchanging casual kisses with your partner?
Yes...Holding her close and make her feel the warmth of my body while kissing her.
Do you think you can be trusted by your man?
Yes of course I can be trusted, because I am ready to open my mind and my heart and lay down my life for the woman I love.
Marriage, they say "Is for Better, For Worse" do you believe in this principle?
Yes, I do believe in that, because that is where you have to show that you love your partner very much.
Do you like to re-marry again?
I can remarry again when she loves me and love my daughter so much that she cares about the family being together as one big family with so much.
Have you talked about your feelings with someone else?
Yes, and you are the only person whom I am sharing my feelings with. I am really interested in wanting to know about what makes you the special person you are today, I want to know more about your family, your background, your life experiences, past relationships, your goals and dreams, your interests, and anything else you want to tell me. I even want to learn about the secrets you very rarely share with someone! So come on and share it all with me, as I am not here to talk to you about general things such as partying, the weather, sports, etc.
I want to learn about you and what makes up your heart and soul, as the friendship I want to build with you I want it to be like no other you have ever shared in or experienced. This friendship I want to build with you will be filled with substance, quality, spirituality, love, faithfulness and potential. Hope I didn't write much of a novel.
What's your plan for the future dear?
All I want now is someone who I can love and give my heart to, honest, faithful and responsible. A woman who can communicate what she desires and can listen. Someone who is positive and believes that everyday holds something amazing. I want to share my life with someone, and it won't be as a playmate. I am a very passionate man, and I need a passionate woman to be my Partner. I have got to know the value of a woman in a man's life. And, to let you know that the distance and language can never be a problem because all that matters is understanding, trust and passion as I am ready to travel miles just to spend the rest of my lifetime with the woman I love.
